Cheers to longtime Session Magazine subscriber AJ Mackinnon ( @alistairjmack ), hailing from Cromer, Norfolk, on the northeast coast of England. While Cromer is better known for its charming seaside town vibe and crabbing culture than for consistent surf, that hasn’t stopped AJ from pursuing his passion for stand-up paddle surfing.
With limited local breaks and fickle conditions, AJ has become something of a globetrotting wave-hunter, regularly traveling in search of clean lines and warm water. The photo featured here captures him in absolute bliss during a 2024 trip to the Maldives, scoring!
