Based out of Ventura, Erik Rinde is a dedicated waterman whose life revolves around the rhythm of the Pacific. From the long, peeling points of Malibu to the rugged, wind-swept stretches of Big Sur, Erik has spent years exploring some of California’s most iconic coastlines. His range extends beyond Southern California, with regular trips to Northern California spots like Waddell Creek and the San Francisco Bay, as well as inland missions to the Columbia River Gorge where strong winds and powerful currents offer a completely different kind of challenge.
A multi-discipline rider, Erik moves seamlessly between surfing, stand-up paddling, and windsurfing, embracing each sport for what it offers in varying conditions. Whether it’s chasing clean swell, navigating wind-driven chop, or finding quiet moments on the water, his approach reflects both versatility and a deep respect for the ocean.
For Erik, staying connected to the broader watersports world is just as important as time spent in it. He looks to Session Magazine as a rare and valuable resource. Erik says, "Session Magazine is one of the few publications that captures the full spectrum of the water sports community without being confined to a single discipline. Through the magazine keep a pulse on evolving trends, emerging locations, and the stories that continue to shape the culture I've been a part of for years."
