Cheers to John Gartman, a 67-year-'young' SUP surfer from Ventura, California. John, an avid waterman moved around while growing up in Thailand, Japan and Guam. His father was in the Army and his mother hails from Japan. John arrived in the United States at the age of 19 to attend college and lived a full life here stateside. He has since retired and enjoys spending time with family, sailing and SUP surfing with his local crew who surf year-round. Their group motto is, "Don't let the old man in!"
