This week we raise a paddle to Ron Price of Huntersville, NC, who finds his rhythm on the water at nearby Lake Norman. When he’s not on land, you’ll likely find Ron out on his board enjoying the calm, open stretches of the lake.
Ron typically paddles about once a week, covering an average of four miles per session. For him, stand up paddleboarding isn’t just exercise, it’s a chance to unwind, connect with nature, and share time with the people (and pets) he loves most.
His favorite paddle partners are his daughter Charlie and his loyal dog Moose, who both help make each outing an adventure. Whether they’re gliding across quiet coves or soaking up the sunshine on the lake, their time together on the water is what Ron enjoys most about the sport.
When he’s off the board, Ron still stays connected to the paddling community through Session Magazine, which he reads for its inspiring photography and engaging stories from fellow paddlers.
As Ron puts it, “I read Session Magazine for the great photography and stories.”
For Ron, paddleboarding is more than a workout, it’s about family, fresh air, and the simple joy of being out on the water.
